These are some pictures of the shop the Amherst Historical Society built for some of us local blacksmiths to demonstrate in.  It was built as a demonstration shop out of old materials.  Students or anyone watching can stand around the outside of the building under the awnings & watch what we do inside without the demonstrator having to worry if someone is getting too close.  This design seems to work really well.

This is the forge area.  The bellows was restored by my grandfather.  It was donated to the Society from an old shop & was in really bad shape.  We built a lever for pumping it & it works great once you get the hang of it.  We're going to build a much better looking frame one of these days..
